Intercity bus fares have also risen due to increases in fuel prices, and fuel stations have witnessed heavy congestion.<br \/>\nVehicle drivers have been lining up since early morning for long hours to obtain petrol and diesel, amid frustration and anger. The increase in transport fares has sparked citizens\u2019 anger due to the severe suffering caused by the rising wave of price hikes in all directions, under difficult conditions that have burdened ordinary citizens. This comes alongside the failure of the de facto authorities to address the living crises since the outbreak of the ongoing war.<br \/>\nFares on several routes have increased significantly. The Kalakla\u2013Laffa Al-Jabal line rose to 5,000 Sudanese pounds, while the Laffa Al-Arabi line reached 3,000 pounds. The fare from Tayba to Kalakla Laffa is 3,000 pounds, from Al-Fatehab to Khartoum 2,000 pounds, Al-Thawra to Al-Shuhada 2,000 pounds, Al-Shuhada to Jackson 2,000 pounds, and Bahri to Al-Arabi 2,000 pounds.<br \/>\nCitizens said that bus drivers are maneuvering around passengers by splitting long routes into shorter segments, as many people refuse to pay the higher fares.<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Public transportation fares have increased across all routes in Khartoum State, as well as in all states of Sudan.
