Abdalla Hamdok, head of the civilian alliance of the Forces of the Revolution, \u201cSomoud,\u201d described what he called General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan\u2019s proposed political dialogue as neither national nor credible.<\/h4>\n

In a written statement to The National, Hamdok said: \u201cIt is a unilateral process limited to areas under his control and designed to manufacture political legitimacy, not to end the war, address the humanitarian catastrophe, or alleviate the immense suffering of the Sudanese people.\u201d<\/h4>\n

Hamdok added: \u201cSudan cannot be reunified through a dialogue that entrenches its division, nor can peace emerge from a process that paves the way for another military dictatorship to rule half of the country.\u201d<\/h4>\n

He stressed that \u201ca credible political process must begin with ending the war.
