The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces, \u201cSumoud,\u201d said that the October 25 coup, carried out by the leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, with the support and planning of forces affiliated with the former regime, derailed a historic opportunity to build a modern, democratic civilian state.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

In a statement, the alliance added that \u201cour country is experiencing one of the darkest periods in its history amid a devastating war that has caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.\u201d<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

It explained that \u201cmilitary rule and the seizure of the state by the National Congress Party and its \u2018terrorist\u2019 Islamist movement represent one of Sudan\u2019s greatest crises.\u201d<\/h4>\n

The statement continued: \u201cWe are committed to working to immediately end the war, protect civilians, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and hold those responsible for violations accountable.\u201d<\/h4>\n
