United Nations Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres on Saturday condemned the escalating drone attacks in Sudan carried out by parties to the conflict.<\/h4>\n

In a statement, the Secretary-General\u2019s spokesperson said that Guterres \u201ccondemns the escalation of drone attacks in Sudan by the parties to the conflict and the devastating impact of these attacks on civilians.\u201d<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

He noted that drone strikes had killed hundreds of civilians across Sudan, as well as in Abyei, the disputed area between Sudan and South Sudan, including women and children. Such attacks constitute violations of international humanitarian law.<\/h4>\n

<\/h4>\n

In the statement, the Secretary-General also condemned all attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including healthcare facilities.<\/h4>\n
