Girls’ Right Initiative Urgent Humanitarian Appeal to the Sudanese Embassy, the Sudanese School in Doha, and Private Educational Institutions
Doha – Nahed Idris

With the war in Sudan nearing its second year, the future of education in conflict zones remains uncertain. Many families continue to face displacement, loss of documentation, and unclear prospects for resuming studies back home. It is now more urgent than ever to support these families and help secure the right to education for their children in exile.
The Girls’ Right Initiative issues this urgent appeal to:
The Sudanese Embassy in Qatar
The Sudanese School in Doha
Private and charitable educational institutions
We call for:
1. Waiving or significantly reducing school fees for displaced Sudanese girls whose families are unable to pay due to the crisis.
2. Accepting temporary or incomplete documentation for children who lost their papers due to war and displacement.
3. Providing psychological and social support for girls suffering from war trauma and interrupted schooling.
We trust in Qatar’s leadership in education and its care for children’s rights. Likewise, we urge Sudanese community institutions to rise to their humanitarian and national duty during this difficult time.
This is not a request for charity, but a call for a fundamental right guaranteed by all international conventions: the right to education—without discrimination, humiliation, or exploitation.
