OCHA: Clashes in El Fasher Claim Civilian Lives Amid Collapsed Healthcare
Reports – Mashawir

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported severe food insecurity in El Fasher.
The cost of basic commodities has reached alarming levels, with sugar prices rising by 957% and sorghum by 161%.
OCHA noted that ongoing clashes in El Fasher continue to claim civilian lives, while the city is left with only one overcrowded hospital, struggling with acute shortages of staff and resources.
The Darfur region, most of which is under Rapid Support Forces (RSF) control, is facing a dire humanitarian crisis. Data published on July 12 revealed that the proportion of children receiving treatment for severe acute malnutrition has risen to 46%.
