Sudanese Doctors Accuse RSF of Turning Al-Nuhud Hospital into a Military Command Center

Mashawir – Reports

The Sudanese Doctors Network has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of converting Al-Nuhud city hospital into a military command center and using it as a barracks for its soldiers.

The network said in a statement that the military use of healthcare facilities constitutes a blatant violation of the sanctity of medical institutions, “undermining civilians’ right to access healthcare.”

It noted that several medical staff have been displaced due to harassment they were subjected to.

The statement added that the hospital is currently suffering from a severe shortage of healthcare workers, leaving the remaining services extremely limited and unable to meet patients’ needs. This comes at a time when thousands of residents face major difficulties in accessing healthcare, especially after treatment fees were imposed, vaccination and primary care programs were suspended, and the entire emergency department was allocated to RSF personnel.
