Hamdok Reviews War-Termination Efforts at Chatham House

London - Mashaweer

Abdalla Hamdok, Chairman of the Civil Democratic Alliance for Revolutionary Forces “Sumud”, provided a detailed and comprehensive presentation on the alliance’s positions, plans, and efforts to end the war in Sudan. This took place during a dialogue session organized by the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) in London last night.

The session featured an extensive discussion on the situation in Sudan and the repercussions of the war, which has resulted in what is considered the world’s largest humanitarian crisis, a reality that necessitates applying the maximum possible pressure on the warring parties to reach a cessation of hostilities.

The meeting covered, in detail, the “Sumud” alliance’s efforts to stop the war, provide relief to civilians, and restore the civil-democratic path.

Dr. Hamdok addressed national, regional, and international endeavors to end the conflict in Sudan. He emphasized the necessity of civilian leadership participation in efforts to stop the war and shape the country’s future. He also stressed the importance of dissolving all armed formations and building a professional national army that distances itself entirely from involvement in politics and the economy.

The dialogue session was attended by a large number of representatives from diplomatic missions, journalists, researchers, and individuals interested in Sudanese and African affairs.
