The Canadian Embassy in Sudan stated that it “hosted a roundtable on policies related to Sudan, in cooperation with Ambassador Nicolas Simard and the International Crisis Group, with the participation of Cheryl Urban, Assistant Deputy Minister for Sub-Saharan Africa.”
According to the embassy, the roundtable saw broad participation from representatives of the international community based in Addis Ababa.
The discussions emphasized the urgency of the situation in Sudan and the significant challenges that still remain.
The embassy noted that “Canada will continue to work closely with its partners to strengthen collective efforts aimed at achieving peace and supporting the Sudanese people.”
