“Nuhud Appeal” Issues Urgent Call to Save Civilians from RSF Brutality

Mashawir - Follow-ups

The “Nuhud Appeal” platform in West Kordofan State has issued an urgent call for unified official and public efforts to liberate the city from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have forced over 80,000 families to flee their homes at gunpoint amid violence, threats, and killings since their assault on the area more than a month and a half ago.

The appeal urged both local and international human rights defenders to take action on behalf of civilians who have been subjected to horrific acts of torture, abuse, killing, displacement, and systematic looting.

Ahmed Abu Zaid, head of the “Nuhud Appeal,” held the RSF fully responsible for any harm that may befall Hamr tribal chief Prince Abdelqader Munim Mansour (85), who remains under house arrest in harsh health conditions. The militia reportedly tortured his immediate family members and personal guards in front of him in an attempt to coerce him into taking a position supportive of the rebellion.
