The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that 700 families were displaced from various parts of Bara city between July 4 and 9, due to rising insecurity.
The families fled from neighborhoods including South District, Al-Qoz, the Market Area, West District, Al-Rakabiya, and New District, relocating to areas in Sheikan locality in North Kordofan, Al-Duwaym locality in White Nile State, and Omdurman locality in Khartoum State.
Since the outbreak of the war, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have maintained control over Bara, which has led to the city being targeted by army drone strikes.
