Worsening Humanitarian Situation for Those Fleeing the Inferno of Fighting in Kordofan

The area between the city of Al-Nuhud in West Kordofan and Al-Obeid in North Kordofan has witnessed dire humanitarian conditions, with thousands of displaced people fleeing clashes and the Rapid Support Forces’ control of the region.

Activists confirmed that about 95% of Al-Nuhud’s residents have fled to nearby villages, which lack even the most basic necessities of life, citing widespread hunger and the absence of healthcare.

They noted that without money, people face certain death from hunger or disease, as healthcare centers in these areas are completely devoid of medicines and medical services. Food supplies are nearly nonexistent, and when available, they are sold at exorbitant prices.
