To Compensate for Medicine Shortages, Kadugli Residents Turn to Herbal Remedies
Reports – Mashawir

Families in the cities of Dilling and Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State, are struggling with a severe shortage of goods and food supplies in local markets. This crisis is a result of the closure of the national highway linking the area to North Kordofan by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N), which has further worsened the humanitarian and living conditions day by day.
Medical sources in Kadugli have described the health situation in the city as increasingly dire, as patients are unable to reach hospitals for treatment. The response to the cholera outbreak has been severely hampered due to the lack of medicines and disease control supplies. This has forced residents to resort to traditional medicine and herbal remedies, further exacerbating the spread of the disease and increasing the death toll.
