WHO Pledges Support for Sudan in Rebuilding Health System and Delivering Services
Mashawir – Reports

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reaffirmed its commitment to support Sudan in rebuilding its health system and providing essential health services.
Federal Minister of Health, Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, while receiving a team of experts from WHO’s Regional Office—alongside WHO’s Sudan country representative, Shibl Sohbani—stated that the visit reflects the organization’s ongoing support to strengthen the health sector in the country.
Ibrahim noted that the mission aims to help develop a post-war health strategy, which includes meetings at the federal level, consultations with state health ministers, and a review of the medical supply system to draft a five-year strategic plan for strengthening Sudan’s health system.
He added that the visit highlights the close cooperation between Sudan and WHO and renews hope for improving the health situation despite the major challenges facing the country.
