Mossad Bolos: Agreement Reached with RSF to Allow Humanitarian Aid into El Fasher

U.S. Special Envoy for African Affairs, Mossad Bolos, expressed hope that humanitarian aid would enter the city of El Fasher in Sudan’s Darfur region “in the coming days.”

Speaking to journalists in New York, Bolos said: “We hope to see the long-awaited arrival of this aid in the coming days,” noting that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had agreed to allow its entry.

He added: “We discussed with the RSF and agreed on a mechanism that enables the delivery of this humanitarian assistance.”

Bolos’ remarks came after a meeting of the Sudan Quartet — comprising Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States — held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The four countries stressed the “importance of ending the conflict in Sudan, restoring peace, and meeting the humanitarian needs of the Sudanese people.”
