Qatar Charity Provides Food Aid to Displaced Persons’ Kitchens in Sudan

Reports – Mashawir

Qatar Charity has delivered humanitarian food assistance to the Zaki Al-Din Center communal kitchen (takiya) for displaced persons in the city of El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, which currently shelters around 2,500 displaced people.

According to Al Jazeera Channel, the aid includes essential food supplies needed to operate the kitchen and feed the most vulnerable displaced individuals — particularly the elderly, women, and children — for a period of 15 days.

Qatar Charity continues to mobilize support for its “Food and Life” campaign, which aims to provide food assistance in several African and Asian countries suffering from food insecurity due to conflict, disasters, and poverty.

Between June 30 and September 25, an estimated 24,992 families — totaling 125,056 people — were affected by heavy rains and floods, according to the latest government statistics.
