UNICEF: 354 Children Arrive at Displacement Camps Without Their Parents
Mashawir – Reports

The United Nations announced that more than 100,000 people have fled the city of El Fasher, while the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has documented the arrival of 354 children who were separated from their families at camps in the town of Tawila, located 70 km west of El Fasher, between October 26 and November 22.
Officials said the parents of these children have disappeared and may have been detained or even killed while fleeing toward the Tawila area.
UNICEF stated that it successfully reunified 84 children with their families over the past month, most of them in Tawila.
Similarly, Mathilde Vu, Sudan Country Director for the Norwegian Refugee Council, said that nearly 400 children have arrived in Tawila without their parents.
