Death Toll Rises in Bombing of Dilling Market, South Kordofan

Follow-ups - Mashaweer

The Sudan Doctors Network reported that the death toll from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drone attack on the market in the city of Dilling has risen to seven people, including three children and two women. Additionally, 32 civilians sustained critical injuries, the majority of whom are women and children.

In a statement, the Network condemned the targeting, describing it as a ” massacre.” It stated that the attack represents a grave violation of international humanitarian law and a systematic crime against unarmed civilians.

The statement emphasized that targeting markets, residential neighborhoods, and civilian gatherings constitutes a dangerous escalation that worsens the suffering of citizens and undermines any efforts to protect civilians.

The Network held the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for these attacks and the resulting loss of life and injuries among civilians due to the targeting of civilian facilities. It called upon the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to intervene urgently to protect civilians in Sudan.
