“Sudan Doctors” Urge Urgent Intervention to Provide Aid to More Than 10,000 Displaced from Qeisan

Blue Nile – Mashawir

The Sudan Doctors Network has appealed to national and international organizations, foremost among them the United Nations, to urgently intervene and provide humanitarian assistance to more than 10,000 displaced people who have arrived from Qeisan locality to Al-Rosires in the Blue Nile region.

In a statement issued today (Wednesday), the network reported that the displaced—most of them women, children, and the elderly—arrived in extremely dire humanitarian conditions, facing severe shortages of food and medicine, and lacking the most basic necessities of life.

The network called for the immediate provision of support to those affected, including food, medicine, and shelter, and stressed the importance of ensuring access for humanitarian aid. It also emphasized the need to protect civilians and halt the violations that have led to waves of forced displacement.

It warned of worsening health and humanitarian conditions among the displaced, amid the absence of medical services, the spread of diseases, and rising malnutrition. The situation, it noted, risks turning into an imminent humanitarian catastrophe if rapid intervention is not undertaken to provide relief and essential healthcare.

The Blue Nile region has witnessed a sharp escalation in military operations since March, following a series of mobilizations that began in December 2025.

On Monday, the army repelled a heavy attack on the area of Sali, located about 120 kilometers south of the regional capital, Damazin.
