Doctors Without Borders” Condemns Attack on Hospital in Sudan

White Nile – Mashawir

The organization Doctors Without Borders condemned today (Friday) a drone attack on a hospital in Sudan that resulted in the deaths of 10 people, including seven medical staff members, some of whom had previously worked with the organization.

The organization attributed the attack to the Rapid Support Forces, stating that the hospital, located in the Al-Jabalain area of White Nile State, was struck twice, hitting an operating room and a maternity ward.

According to the organization, what makes the attack even more horrific is that it occurred during a children’s vaccination campaign. According to a government source and an eyewitness who spoke to Agence France-Presse, the Rapid Support Forces targeted the hospital in Al-Jabalain, killing nine civilians, including the hospital director.

The Rapid Support Forces denied responsibility for the attack, while the Ministry of Health later announced that 10 medical and administrative staff members, including the director, were killed, and 22 others were injured in the incident.
