A number of schools in Cairo are preparing to receive thousands of Sudanese students who will sit for the Sudanese secondary school examinations starting next Monday. The Embassy of Sudan in Cairo has issued strict instructions emphasizing adherence to organizational procedures.
In this context, the Directorate of Education in Giza—which hosts the largest number of Sudanese residents in Egypt—held a coordination meeting on Thursday to review final preparations for the exams.
The Deputy Minister of Education in Giza, Saeed Attia, presented a comprehensive operational plan that includes:
Upgrading and preparing schools designated as exam centers
Ensuring cleanliness and readiness of classrooms
Improving lighting and ventilation inside exam halls
Strengthening security measures inside and around schools in coordination with relevant authorities
Ensuring full discipline and smooth workflow within exam centers
According to the Sudanese embassy in Cairo, about 38,000 Sudanese students residing across various Egyptian governorates will sit for the exams in 52 examination centers. This is part of a total of 560,000 Sudanese students taking the exams inside Sudan and abroad.
The exams are scheduled to begin on April 13.
