Cultural Festival Promotes Peaceful Coexistence in Al Jazira State

Wad Madani – Mashaweer

A student festival promoting peaceful coexistence and rejecting hate speech has kicked off in Wad Madani, the capital of Al Jazira State, as part of efforts to strengthen a culture of peace and reinforce the values of social coexistence during the recovery and reconstruction phase.

The festival aims to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence among student and community groups, contribute to healing social divisions, and spread a culture of rejecting hate speech, thereby supporting the building of a more cohesive and stable society.

Student Mohamed Al-Mujtaba Sharaf Al-Din told Mashaweer that “Al Jazira State represents a model of diversity and social cohesion.”

He said that the state’s stability is a key pillar for Sudan’s overall stability, calling for the promotion of dialogue, acceptance of others, and the rule of law.

Sharaf Al-Din called for expanding the festival’s experience to other states across Sudan, describing it as a platform for strengthening communication among young people and students, promoting the values of tolerance and peace, and confronting hate speech.
