The Tina Locality Emergency Committee in North Darfur State has warned of a worsening humanitarian situation in the area due to drought, delayed rainfall and crop failure, alongside a growing number of displaced people fleeing conflict zones.
In a statement, the committee said the area was facing an escalating crisis marked by food insecurity, livestock deaths and the depletion of drinking water sources, in addition to the spread of malaria and dengue fever and the collapse of health services.
The committee appealed to local and international organisations to intervene urgently to provide essential assistance to affected communities, including water, food, medicines and emergency shelter materials.
It warned that continued delays in delivering aid would further intensify the humanitarian crisis and compound the suffering of residents and displaced people.
