Launch of the Sudan Emergency Fund to Save Victims of the War

Mashawir – Reports

The humanitarian organization Human Appeal has announced the launch of the Sudan Emergency Fund, an urgent initiative aimed at supporting millions of civilians affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan, now entering its third year amid worsening humanitarian conditions and the near-collapse of the health sector.

The fund aims to provide essential assistance including food parcels, clean drinking water, medical care, and shelter supplies, in addition to basic necessities such as blankets, cooking utensils, and personal items for women and girls.

It also seeks to support people affected by natural disasters such as floods, provide treatment through mobile and fixed clinics, and collaborate with kidney dialysis centers to ease the suffering of thousands of renal patients in the states of Al-Jazirah and River Nile.

The UK-based organization said in its statement that “two years of conflict have left more than 18,000 people dead, destroyed infrastructure, shut down hospitals, and torn families apart,” stressing that supporting the fund is an opportunity to save lives by delivering immediate assistance to the displaced and the injured.
