Death of Two Sudanese Young Women off the French Coast
Paris – Mashawir
Two Sudanese women in their twenties died tragically off the northern coast of France while attempting to cross the English Channel irregularly toward United Kingdom shores.
According to the Secretary-General of the Pas-de-Calais prefecture, Christophe Marx, the overcrowded boat—carryin 82 people—departed on Saturday night under difficult weather conditions.
Marx explained that a mechanical failure caused the vessel to drift back toward the coast of Neufchâtel-Hardelot, where authorities later found the bodies of the two victims inside the boat.
Although investigations are still ongoing to confirm their identities, preliminary reports indicate that the two victims were Sudanese nationals.
