Sudan: 14 Killed and Injured in Drone Attack in White Nile State

White Nile – Mashawir

The Sudan Doctors Network reported that 5 people were killed and 9 others injured following a drone attack allegedly carried out by the Rapid Support Forces targeting two fuel stations in the city of Kosti, White Nile State.

In a statement, the network said that “this deliberate drone attack is part of a repeated pattern of targeting civilian facilities, including vital infrastructure on which citizens depend in their daily lives, in clear violation of international humanitarian law, which mandates the protection of civilians and civilian objects.”

The network strongly condemned the direct targeting, stating that it “reflects a blatant disregard for civilian lives and further exacerbates their suffering amid an already deteriorating humanitarian situation.”

It also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities regarding these grave violations, to work toward holding the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces accountable for crimes committed against civilians, and to apply effective pressure to halt the targeting of civilian infrastructure and ensure the protection of civilians in accordance with international laws and conventions.
