RSF Strikes Rahad and Fuel Supplies in El Obeid

El Obeid – Mashawir

Drones operated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched airstrikes on Sunday targeting the city of El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, for the fifth consecutive day, primarily focusing on fuel supply facilities.

East of El Obeid, the RSF also shelled the town of Al-Rahad, one of the most important towns in North Kordofan State. The bombardment struck areas near the town’s market, causing tension and panic among residents as explosions echoed across the area.

Since the outbreak of the war in April 2023, El Obeid has withstood repeated attempts by the RSF to seize control of the strategic city, which serves as an important operational hub for the Sudanese Armed Forces.

The RSF maintains positions around El Obeid in Umm Samima to the west, Bara to the north, and Kazgail to the south. Meanwhile, the Sudanese Army and allied forces continue to hold control of the eastern El Obeid road leading to Kosti in White Nile State.
