The Quint Mechanism said in a statement issued on Thursday that it is continuing consultations with the Sudanese parties and is conducting a careful review of the proposals and viewpoints that have been presented.
The statement added: “We reaffirm our commitment to engaging with all Sudanese parties through continuous dialogue and thorough preparation.”
It further noted that “broad and inclusive consultations are essential to building the trust, legitimacy, and shared understanding needed to advance a credible, Sudanese-owned political process.”
The statement also reaffirmed the mechanism’s respect for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, while reiterating its rejection of parallel governance structures. It called for de-escalation as a means of achieving a lasting peace through negotiations.
