The North Kordofan State Government said that drone attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted an IDP shelter, fuel stations, and civilian sites, killing two people and injuring 20 others to varying degrees.
Condemning the attack, the state government highlighted the gravity of targeting displaced people who had sought refuge in shelters after fleeing violations and attacks by the group in their home areas in search of safety and protection.
The government described the attack as a violation of international humanitarian law and a war crime.
Jamaa Al-Mahdi Jamaa, spokesperson for the North Kordofan State Government, called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their responsibilities by condemning and documenting these crimes and holding those responsible accountable.
