Meteorological Authority Warns of Rain and Thunderstorms in Five States

The General Meteorological Authority has issued an orange alert indicating a high level of risk in areas of East and South Gedaref, East Sennar, East Blue Nile, South Kordofan, and Southwest Central Darfur.

The authority forecasted rainfall and thunderstorms today (Thursday) starting from 5:00 p.m. and possibly continuing until 5:00 a.m. the following day.

Citizens were warned against crossing fast-flowing waterways and were urged to open drains and channels to allow proper water flow.

Several Sudanese cities are currently experiencing heavy rainfall and sudden floods with a high degree of danger.
