Security authorities arrested eight professors from the Universities of Bakht Al-Rida and the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in White Nile State, south of the country, after they held Among those detained were two professors holding the rank of full professor.

In a statement published on Facebook, the committee said that a force affiliated with the “security cell” in the city of Al-Duweim arrested eight academics from Bakht Al-Rida on Sunday evening. They were reportedly subjected to overnight interrogation under inappropriate conditions.
