UN Warns of Severe Worsening of Humanitarian Crisis in North Darfur
Mashawir – Reports

The United Nations has warned of a sharp deterioration in the humanitarian crisis in North Darfur amid ongoing conflict, calling on warring parties to adhere to international laws and to implement an immediate ceasefire.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sudan expressed concern over the lack of international funding for the humanitarian sector in the country, stating that only 10 percent of the required $4.2 billion had been received as of April 11.
In an update on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, OCHA reported that while nearly 30 million people across the country are in need of aid, humanitarian partners were only able to reach 8.6 million individuals between the start of the year and the end of March.
