Epidemic Threat Surrounds Al Jazirah State Amid Health Sector Deterioration
Follow-ups - Mashawir

Residents of several areas in Al Jazirah State have complained about the spread of diseases, lack of healthcare, and shortage of life-saving medications.
A cholera outbreak is spreading in some parts of the state, raising fears it may spiral out of control, especially with up to 80% of healthcare facilities in conflict-affected areas out of service, and nearly 45% of facilities in other areas also non-operational.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health in Sennar State, Ibrahim Al-Awad Ahmed, stated that suspected cholera cases in Sennar have risen to 23, including three deaths.
He noted that rapid response teams have reached all neighborhoods from which the cases emerged, urging citizens to remain cautious and follow health guidelines.
