Saudi Arabia and Egypt Discuss Efforts to End the War in Sudan

A statement issued by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration announced that the Deputy Foreign Minister held talks with his Saudi counterpart on the situation in Sudan.

The statement said:

> “As part of the ongoing consultations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Abu Bakr Hefny Mahmoud, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, received Mr. Waleed Al-Khuraiji, Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.”

The meeting addressed developments in the Sudanese crisis, with both sides reviewing ongoing efforts to resolve the conflict and intensive endeavors to bring the fighting to an end. They reaffirmed their unwavering support for Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity, rejected all forms of external interference, and emphasized the need to preserve national state institutions while enabling the Sudanese people to determine their own destiny and achieve their legitimate aspirations.
