Shelter Materials Distributed to Displaced People Affected by Camp Fires

Central Darfur – Mashaweer

The Rokro Emergency Response Room, in the Tura area of Jebel Marra locality, distributed the second batch of shelter materials to 50 families at Ska Dalo Camp as part of efforts to respond to the humanitarian needs of displaced families affected by fires.

The assistance was supported by the Longa–Jebel Marra Emergency Response Rooms Coordination Council and aimed to provide basic shelter needs, particularly for families affected by the fire that broke out at the Institutions Camp in Rokro in mid-April, as well as displaced and low-income families.

Rashad Daldoum, a member of the Rokro Emergency Response Room, told Mashaweer that “despite their limited scope, the aid helps alleviate part of the suffering of affected families and provides the minimum basic shelter supplies needed for stability.”

Daldoum expressed his appreciation to the Longa–Jebel Marra Emergency Response Rooms Coordination Council for its support and assistance.

He stressed that humanitarian and community efforts would continue in coordination with grassroots response rooms, the local community, and supporting organizations, amid growing humanitarian needs.
