Health Ministry: Cholera Outbreak Spreads Across All States of Darfur, Difficult to Track in Some Areas
Mashawir – Reports

The cholera outbreak continues to spread at alarming rates, with the cumulative death toll rising to 335 and the number of infections reaching 7,955, according to the latest update from the General Coordination for IDPs in Darfur.
The Darfur Ministry of Health stated that cholera has spread across all states of Darfur and is difficult to track in some areas, particularly in the western part of the region.
The Coordination reported that Tawila locality has recorded the highest infection rates, with a total of 4,688 cumulative cases including 76 deaths, in addition to rising infection rates in several other localities.
The siege on El Fasher city, which has been in place for over a year, has forced thousands of families to flee. The city now faces the threat of complete famine following the depletion of food supplies in local markets, alongside ongoing clashes and frequent daily shelling of residential neighborhoods.
