
In an effort to ease the severe food crisis in Kadugli, the besieged capital of South Kordofan, the Sudanese army’s air force successfully carried out an airdrop operation delivering quantities of flour.
According to the official Facebook page of the Nuba Mountains community, the shipments arrived safely and were collected at designated locations to facilitate distribution to residents and alleviate their suffering, caused by the challenges of road transportation amid ongoing security threats in the Nuba Mountains.
For months, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their ally, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu, have imposed a blockade on the cities of Kadugli and Dilling. They have closed the national highway connecting El Obeid, Dilling, and Kadugli, cutting off food supplies, goods, and medicines.
