U.S.–European Coordination to Seek Peaceful Solutions That Promote Stability in Sudan

Reports – Mashawir

U.S. Presidential Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Mossad Boulos, announced that Washington and Brussels have agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and joint efforts to find peaceful and sustainable solutions that would enhance stability in North and East Africa, while addressing the political and humanitarian situations in Libya, Sudan, Morocco, and the Great Lakes region — including the Western Sahara issue, which remains a sensitive point in regional relations.

Boulos affirmed, in a press statement, the commitment of both the United States and the European Union to strengthen their strategic partnership with the African continent, noting a full alignment of positions regarding priority regional issues.

The U.S. advisor also held talks in Brussels with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, discussing files related to the aforementioned countries, as well as cooperation in the areas of regional security and economic development.
