The Dar Hamar Emergency Committee in West Kordofan has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing systematic violations in populated areas, aimed at military repositioning in the region alongside the army’s advances across multiple fronts.
A statement from the committee said that the RSF forcibly transferred 40 young men, previously kidnapped from various parts of the state and held in detention centers in Al-Nahud, to Nyala in South Darfur.
The committee expressed deep concern about the fate of the remaining detainees, who were taken by these forces to undisclosed detention centers, especially those from the Dar Hamar area.
The statement also reported that some citizens were subjected to financial extortion in exchange for the release of their relatives, describing these practices as a direct threat to the security, lives, and livelihoods of residents in the affected areas.
For more than a year, the Rapid Support Forces have controlled Al-Nahud, one of the main economic hubs in West Kordofan.
