The Sudan Doctors Network on Sunday accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of executing at least five civilians and displacing thousands during attacks on areas west of Bara in North Kordofan State.
Residents of the affected areas said that the withdrawing RSF forces had intensified violations against civilians, reporting killings, looting and forced displacement. They expressed fears that the humanitarian and security situation in the affected localities could further deteriorate after the forces imposed a blockade on some areas and prevented food supplies from entering.
In a statement, the Sudan Doctors Network said that “forces affiliated with the RSF” launched an attack yesterday evening on the areas of Al-Qaa and Al-Kukaiti, west of Bara in North Kordofan State, and executed five young men from the area.
The statement added that the forces looted livestock and homes, forcing more than 3,000 people to flee. Some of the displaced reached western Omdurman late yesterday evening, including women, children and elderly people, amid dire humanitarian conditions.
