Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD): We affirm our commitment to peace and recovery in Sudan”

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) stated that a delegation from the organization, led by the Special Envoy to Sudan, Korbandy, participated alongside regional and international partners in the Sudan Conference in Berlin.
It added that there were calls for urgent measures to strengthen peace, intensify the humanitarian response, and support a sustainable political solution.
The organization noted that IGAD’s participation reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting Sudan and working with partners to promote dialogue and alleviate humanitarian suffering.
It also emphasized its commitment to advancing coordinated efforts toward achieving peace, stability, and recovery.
