The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that the United Nations and its partners are expanding life-saving humanitarian assistance in the regions of Darfur, Kordofan, and Blue Nile amid growing humanitarian needs.
The office explained that between January and March, around 4.6 million people received food aid and livelihood support.
It also noted that 900,000 people benefited from water and sanitation services, in addition to the provision of 360,000 primary healthcare consultations across the three regions.
Areas affected by armed conflict in Sudan have been suffering from severe humanitarian crises since the outbreak of the war.
