Shocking Death Toll from the North Kordofan Villages Massacre

Bara – Mashawir

The death toll from the massacre in the villages west of Bara has risen to a tragic 58 people after the bodies of about 28 missing individuals were discovered on Saturday in the Azhaf area. Most of the victims were from the Dar Hamid community and had mobilized to assist villages that had come under attack in the region.

According to sources from the Dar Hamid Emergency Room in North Kordofan, the Rapid Support Forces allegedly executed the missing individuals, who had been held captive, by shooting them following field trials in which they were accused of bearing arms against the group. This reportedly led to the increase in the number of victims.

News of the newly discovered victims has deepened public grief and anger across the country, particularly among residents and traditional community leaders in North Kordofan.

Meanwhile, search and clearance operations continue in the surrounding areas amid fears that additional victims may still be found.
