Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders has warned that drone strikes are increasingly targeting civilian areas across Sudan.
The organization noted that Zalingei Teaching Hospital, one of the few remaining operational healthcare facilities in Central Darfur, is receiving growing numbers of people wounded and injured as a result of these attacks.
MSF explained that its teams activate emergency response plans whenever large numbers of casualties arrive, enabling medical staff to assess patients, prioritize treatment, and provide urgent care to the most critically injured.
The organization also conveyed remarks by Dr. Javid Abdelmoneim, President of MSF International, who provided a firsthand account of the consequences of escalating violence in Sudan and the challenges facing medical teams working in the field.
He highlighted the increasing humanitarian impact of the conflict and the immense pressure on healthcare workers striving to provide lifesaving care amid ongoing insecurity and attacks affecting civilian populations.
