Hundreds of Families Displaced in North Darfur Amid Harsh Humanitarian Condition

An attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the area of Orshi, in Um Baru locality of North Darfur State, triggered a large wave of displacement, forcing hundreds of families to flee to remote open areas and distant valleys.
In this context, the Emergency Response Room in Tina locality announced the arrival of 197 displaced families who had fled to the area after a long and exhausting journey on foot and by animal transport. They are now living under extremely difficult humanitarian conditions, facing fear, hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and an uncertain future.
In a statement, the Emergency Response Room said that the attack created highly complex and severe humanitarian conditions. Civilian casualties were reported, properties were looted, and families lost their livestock—their only source of livelihood. Residents had no option but to flee for their lives, leaving behind their homes, possessions, and everything they owned.
The statement called on humanitarian organizations and government authorities to urgently intervene and provide immediate assistance to those displaced from the town of Orshi.
