Displacement camps across the Darfur region are facing increasingly dire humanitarian conditions as multiple crises continue to deepen.
Displaced residents in Masal Camp, located in Tawila locality in North Darfur, reported severe food shortages due to a significant decline in humanitarian assistance provided by aid organizations.
They said that the majority of displaced families have not received food assistance for more than 10 months, forcing many households to survive on just one meal a day. This has led to a sharp increase in cases of child malnutrition throughout the camp.
According to the displaced residents, humanitarian organizations have concentrated their services on displacement sites within the Tawila area, while many other camps have received little or no support.
