Humanitarian Crisis Worsens for 100,000 Displaced People in Blue Nile

The Governor of Kurmuk, Abdel Ati Al-Faki, has called on international humanitarian organizations to increase assistance for conflict-affected communities, saying that current aid is insufficient to meet growing needs.
Al-Faki said that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had targeted electricity stations, water facilities, and hospitals, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
He also stated that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) currently hold the strategic initiative across the Blue Nile region and in the areas surrounding the town of Kurmuk.
According to Al-Faki, approximately 100,000 displaced people are currently sheltering in the region, and the humanitarian situation requires urgent international support.
