30 Undocumented Sudanese Migrants Arrested in the Libyan Desert

Libya – Mashawir

Libya’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency has announced the arrest of 30 undocumented Sudanese migrants deep in the desert south of the Al Wahat region.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the agency said the migrants had been transferred to the Al Wahat Reception Center to complete the necessary legal procedures ahead of their deportation to Sudan.

Libyan cities are currently hosting thousands of Sudanese refugees who fled the ongoing war in their country. Many are living in harsh conditions due to limited access to essential services.

Since last month, the Libyan authorities have intensified campaigns to deport Sudanese refugees, citing security, public health, and economic pressures.
