The Al-Tadamun Emergency Room in South Kordofan has conducted a field survey to assess the humanitarian needs of displaced families in the Wakra displacement camp. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to evaluate conditions on the ground and respond to the most urgent needs, particularly with the onset of the rainy season and the growing humanitarian challenges it brings.
The survey aims to identify the immediate needs of displaced households and develop response plans based on actual priorities. This will be carried out in coordination with humanitarian partners and volunteers to ensure that aid is delivered more effectively and reaches those most in need.
Adel Sabri, a member of the South Kordofan Emergency Room, told Mashaweer:
«”The field survey is a fundamental step toward ensuring that humanitarian assistance is based on accurate and reliable data.”»
He explained that volunteer teams are assessing needs related to food, shelter, water, and health services in preparation for coordinating interventions with supporting organizations according to humanitarian priorities.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Brima, a volunteer activist in Al-Tadamun locality, told Mashaweer:
«”The rainy season further increases the vulnerability of displaced people living in the camp, making it essential to accelerate humanitarian response efforts.”»
He added that:
«”The survey results will help direct assistance to the most vulnerable families and strengthen volunteers’ efforts to address the worsening humanitarian challenges.”»
