Psychosocial Support Activities Continue for Displaced Children in White Nile State

Kosti – Mashaweer

Psychosocial support activities for displaced children continued at Goz Al-Salam Camp in Sudan’s White Nile State, reaching 400 children as part of a project aimed at providing a safe environment that helps children recover from the psychological effects of displacement, while encouraging them to express their emotions and regain a sense of safety.

Nafisa Saleh, a member of the Noida Organization, told Mashaweer that the program included a range of interactive and recreational activities, such as free drawing, face painting, and group games. The initiative also involved the distribution of toys and personal hygiene kits to children, helping to bring joy to their lives and promote their psychological well-being.

She added that these activities are an important part of efforts to support children affected by the conflict, as they contribute to improving mental health, developing social skills, and encouraging positive interaction with their peers. Despite the difficult humanitarian conditions they continue to face, the program aims to restore a sense of hope and happiness to their lives.
